RESET
The RESET project is a multicentre, non-interventional clinical registry, which has been established in order to map the incidence, prevalence, morbidity and mortality in patients with sellar expansions. Adenomas in the sellar region can cause acromegaly or Cushing disease, among others.
The primary goal of the RESET project is to create a parametric database and electronic documentation for patients belonging to clearly defined diagnostic groups. Based on the analysis of acquired data, an attempt will be made to optimize the therapy. This could be accomplished thanks to a widespread involvement of physicians in the project, which could lead to sending the patients into specialized centres with an interdisciplinary coherence (this is generally not applied at the present time). Therapeutic possibilities are expected to be improved by this approach. In addition, several sub-projects will be realized for individual diagnoses.
