Establishment of the European CanCer Organization (ECCO)
The 14the European Cancer Conference in Barcelona (23-27 September 2007) has seen the creation of the European CanCer Organisation (ECCO) as a continuation of the Federation of European Cancer Societies (FECS).
Apart from campaigning on political issues such as the cost effectiveness of cancer drugs and equitable access to treatment, the new organization will expand its outreach and educational role, a new initiative designed to bring cancer science, policy, and treatment to a wide public.
