New design of the NOP On-line website

The original design of the NOP On-line website was not suitable any more, because the increasing amount of information in it has gradually led to a too much complex structure.

A complete presentation of the network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres (CCCs) in the Czech Republic is still the most important component of the NOP On-line website. CCCs must fulfil strict criteria on providing healthcare to cancer patients, as declared by the Czech Society for Oncology. CCCs are mostly fully occupied, and therefore cooperate with dozens of other healthcare facilities.

All facilities providing cancer care in the Czech Republic are shown in our interactive map, which is divided into individual regions. Each region features the following:

1. regional interactive map, showing all types of cancer care providers:
   1. constituent parts of CCCs,
   2. children's cancer centres,
   3. haemato-oncology centres,
   4. facilities cooperating with CCCs,
   5. mammography screening centres (breast cancer screening),
   6. colonoscopy screening centres (bowel cancer screening),
   7. LCTHs and hospices,
2. diagram showing the hiearachy and mutual relationships among healthcare facilities in the respective region,
3. brief description of cancer care in the respective region.

About the NOP On-line project

• The National Cancer Control Programme On-line (NOP On-line, www.onconet.cz) is a research project focusing on the development of presentation and communication background for the network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres in the Czech Republic. The project is controlled by an expert council which consists of heads of all involved centres, members of the Board of COS and leading experts in this field.
• The objective of this information gateway is to interconnect important national sources of information and data on cancer, and to make this information accessible to the general public in the Czech Republic and abroad.
• The website www.onconet.cz provides a clearly arranged and complete presentation of the network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres, including detailed information about each centre.
